Easiest diwali rangoli

I love rangoli but i dont know how to make it properly and i dont have the patience also. I cannot spend hours in making a rangoli which i know will be wiped away soon by some one for sure.

I use stencils for making easiest and quickest rangoli. They are easily available in so many designs. Opt for a stronger material as you can reuse it next time. I am using mine for 3 years now and its absolutely fine.

How to use a  stencil ?

Take  a newspaper and a sieve (chalni) but not the one in which you strain tea. Use one in which you can sieve rice powder. Clean the surface. Place your stencil. Use your one hand to hold the stencil in place and other to sieve the rangoli color on top of the stencil. Carefully pick up the stencil and transfer remaining color on the newspaper without worrying about the mess. Do this with several colors and you can keep remaining color for next year as well.
Hope this helps!

Diwali preparations

Do you know whats even better than Diwali poojan ? Preparations!
Making Rangoli,  taking out all newly bought diyas and lightenings is my favourite part.

In our home we bring a new jodi of murti every year for the poojan and take out all the old ones and clean them.

Some are made of metal , they can be washed easily with a toothbrush and detergent.

Some are made of chini mitti, they can be wipes with a wet cloth.

Most of them are made of mitti, cleaning them can be a lil tricky because lots of water and wiping can spoil their color completely.
What i do is i take a spray bottle and  a clean cloth and turn the fan on.
I just spray the murti lightly with water and just press the cloth lightly on the murti which takes away all the dirt and retains the color.
Hope this helps!
